Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program

What is Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program?

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program offers a 10-month, non-degree professional enrichment and graduate-level study opportunity in the United States for mid-career professionals from designated countries. Fellows are selected based on leadership potential and a demonstrated commitment to public service. Participants are grouped by professional fields and placed at leading U.S. universities offering tailored academic and practical training.

From Uganda, the program is highly competitive, with only 1–2 Ugandans selected each year.

Who is eligible for Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program?

Eligibility requirements include being a mid-career professional with at least 5–15 years of relevant experience, holding at least a bachelor’s degree, strong English proficiency, and a demonstrated commitment to public service or policy work.
