Building a legacy for our communities. USEA is establishing Uganda’s first Community Resource Centres to expand opportunities, learning, innovation and leadership in communities.

What the centre will offer

Library and literacy hub
ICT and digital skills lab
Training and leadership centre
Entrepreneurship and innovation support
Games, health and wellness awareness
Creative and recreational spaces
Women and youth empowerment programmes
Agricultural study centres

Vision and goal

Vision: the pilot centre will directly serve an estimated 10,000 people every year, with an extended community reach of one million people.

Goal: to use the Central Uganda centre as a model for establishing regional Community Resource Centres across Uganda.

We are mobilising

UGX 500 million for the pilot centre in Central Uganda: Kazo, Bwaise.
UGX 6 billion: long-term partners are sought to expand Community Resource Centres across Uganda.

Progress so far: USEA has engaged more than 100 partners and stakeholders, secured land in Kazo, Bwaise, and completed preliminary architectural designs for the centre with Habitat for Humanity.
