In a fast-paced world where scrolling often outpaces reading, and opinions travel faster than understanding, the USEA Chapters of Change Book Club was formed to create a space to slow down, reflect, and connect.

The Book Club was established by the U.S. Exchange Alumni Network of Uganda (USEA) to bring together alumni and community members who believe in the power of words to inspire action and spark change. Its goal is simple yet profound: to use books as a tool for learning, dialogue, and community transformation.

Through the club, participants engage in thoughtful discussions, creative expression, and critical thinking, exploring ideas that challenge perspectives and illuminate untold stories. It is not just about reading books, it’s about reading the world: analyzing social issues, uncovering hidden narratives, and amplifying unheard voices.

The Book Club also extends its impact beyond its members. Through initiatives like Read & Drop, books and literacy resources are delivered to schools and communities across Uganda, fostering a culture of learning and opening doors for the next generation.

The Chapters of Change Book Club is open to exchange alumni, students, educators, writers, poets, and anyone passionate about literacy and community transformation. It serves as a space where ideas meet action, and where conversations in cozy reading circles translate into real-world impact.

By fostering a culture of dialogue, reflection, and community engagement, the Book Club is turning every page into purposes and every story into a catalyst for change.
